James W. Adair, III

Attorney James W. Adair, III, is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the University of Cincinnati earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1970, majoring in chemistry. He attended the Ohio State University College of Law (Michael E. Moritz College of Law) , earning his Juris Doctor in 1973.
Attorney Adair began his legal career working for the Ohio Environmental Agency, as enforcement and general counsel. He later served as Executive Director of the Ohio Hazardous Waste Facilities Board (HWFB). HWFB was the State of Ohio’s licensing authority for facilities that store, treat or dispose of hazardous waste. [Note: HWFB no longer exists. Its primary functions are now the responsibility of the Ohio EPA. (See Am. Sub. H.B. 95, Eff. June 26, 2003, 125th Ohio General Assembly)] .
After leaving state government in 1989, Attorney Adair began working as a private practitioner, principally representing the needs of individuals and families. He also serves various state departments as a contact administrative hearing officer.

Attorney Adair is licensed to practice before all courts in Ohio, including the United States Federal District Courts.

Attorney Adair is married and the father of four adult children. He has also been active in the Community and served as President and Board Trustee for the Northwest Civic Association.
